Does 'Pop Culture' in the US more often deal with political issues or in general topics in times of crisis than in Germany?
I often see alleged celebrities in the US stand up for their opinion especially in our time of YouTube and such, but never really heard of anyone popular raise his or her voice in public in Germany.
Another example would be television shows like South Park which discusses social or poilitcal issues in almost every episode.
