While reading the Afterword of Joe Trippi's book, most of the time i thought 'damn, that guy's so right!'. I really like his way of seeing the Internet as a huge opportunity for people to really take part in politics again.
What struck me most was the video he and his colleagues made when the media had nothing better to talk about than John Edwards $400 haircut. Of course, the first thing i did was searching for the video on youtube and here it is:
It's an amazing video with such an important message. I really feel like most of the time the press only focuses on completely unimportant aspects during presidential elections rather than reporting on the important issues at hand.
As I see it, in Germany it's not as bad as it is in the US but I feel like we're heading this way.
